Description: * Phononotes - recordings of weekly-advertised specials from stores such as: Dominicks, Jewel, Walgreens, Osco and K-mart. Also on Phonotes are the weekly TV Guide listings and the Guild's newsletter, "Guild Briefs". Phonotes can be heard 24-hours a day on four separate telephone lines. Free Tape-Lending Library with over 500 titles for devotional and educational listening. Braillables (a series of children's books designed to encourage braille education), cook books, craft books, gardening books in large print and on audio cassette. Large print devotional materials including the Catholic Mass and Sacramental Rites.

Description: * Itinerant Teacher - provided to students who are visually impaired attending Catholic elementary and high schools in the Chicago area.* Large print materials not provided by the State for students who are visually impaired in the Catholic schools.

Description: Independent living products for sale at or near cost. Products include: canes, braille watches, talking clocks, cooking aids, games and more. Low-vision center includes magnifiers, magnification screens, large print items and information for those with low vision. Various closed-circuit television are available for review.

Description: Guilds Briefs, a monthly publication in large print and braille that announces Guild programs and reprints information from local and national publications pertaining to blindness. "Guild Briefs" is also available via e-mail or Phonotes (see Audio Services Center.) Provides information to hundreds of callers each month. Refers people to other agencies and organizations that can meet their needs.
