Description: Independent living products for sale at or near cost. Products include: canes, braille watches, talking clocks, cooking aids, games and more. Low-vision center includes magnifiers, magnification screens, large print items and information for those with low vision. Various closed-circuit television are available for review.

Description: Making Sense Email Newsletter is a monthly publication, packed with information about programs, services and other items of interest to people with vision loss. This newsletter is issued monthly and is sent to over 3,000 readers in large print, braille or email formats. It is also available in a recorded format through NFB Newsline telephone service.

Description: Children's Forum Seminar Series - seminars held throughout the year dedicated to the special concerns of children who are blind or visually impaired, their parents and their teachers. Adult Education Seminar Series - seminars offered to adults who are blind or visually impaired on such topics as first aid, specific eye diseases, adaptive technology, etc. Also offers braille instruction and computer training.

Description: Our classes, workshops and one-on-one instruction provide all the training options you need to master today’s tools:
- computers and the adaptive software that makes them accessible
- tablets (like iPads)
- smart phones and all the great apps for people with vision loss
- digital book readers

Comprehensive Computer Training: Learn more about adaptive software that enlarges the information on the computer monitor or that provides speech output can enable a person with vision loss to use a computer. We teach screen-magnification software (ZoomText and Windows Magnifier) and screen-reading software (JAWS and NVDA). Learn to use the MS Office Suite, send email and navigate the Internet.

Description: Our Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapists provide individual instruction that is free of charge and requires no referral.

Learn how to:
- write legibly: take notes you can read and record private financial transactions
- enhance vision with magnification, lighting and contrast
- organize personal space — from a closet to a kitchen to a wallet
- continue favorite pastimes like reading, gardening, sewing and knitting
- cook, clean, do laundry and other household chores
- dial a phone or use other devices with buttons
