Service/program name: Cloverbuds
Description: Designed to introduce 5-7 year olds to a variety of 4-H experiences. The 4-H Cloverbud groups will be involved in activities led by an adult that will help the 4-H'ers: Learn how to get along and share with others; Explore many different interests; Learn basic living skills; Build self-confidence; Learn to communicate effectively; Learn how to be a part of a group. The program is noncompetitive! Cloverbuds do not participate in competitive events, contests, shows or raise animals as a 4-H project and are not eligible to receive premiums. However, they may be given the opportunity to display their projects noncompetitively.

Description: 4-H is a national organization that helps young people develop knowledge and skills to help them become productive citizens. It also helps them be more capable to meet the diversities and challenges of today's society. 4-H allows youth and adults to work together to design programs that will teach skills for living. 4-H upholds the theme of "learning by doing." 4-H reaches people in their own neighborhoods with delivery methods suitable to their needs. 4-H also helps provide a stronger bond between family members. County and regional 4-H programs are directed by professional Extension staff who train and support the volunteers who work with 4-H members.
