  Service Profile:
Service/program name: Adult Reading and Literacy Program
Description: KVARLP's goal is to improve reading skills to further a student's education. There is no age limit to this program and we cater to many English second language students, which is a benefit to the Hispanic community.

How is KVARLP different from other literacy programs? Our tutors are mobile. We can tutor students in a variety of locations that are convenient and don't involve travel. We can customize tutoring specifically for what the student's individual needs may be.

We offer no-cost tutoring that includes help for under-educated adults to begin their reading knowledge, or advance and upgrade their reading skills, preparing them for practical abilities they need to fill out a job application, get a driver's license, even prepare for a GED exam.

There are no classrooms....the program is strictly one-on-one, in a non-threatening environment, and at a location that is easily accessible to students. All books and materials are completely free of charge to enrolled students.
