Service/program name: 24-Hour Crisis Hotline
Description: Specially trained staff and volunteers are available 24-hours a day, 365 days a year to provide support, information, empathy and referrals. The crisis line is utilized by local hospitals to contact an advocate to support the victim through the hospital experience.

Service/program name: Counseling
Description: Counseling is available to adult and child survivors of sexual assault, sexual abuse and sexual harrassment. Counseling is also available for family members and significant others.

Counseling is offered free to children and their family members. For adults, the first ten sessions are free of charge, any further counseling is offered on a sliding scale.

Individual, family and group therapy is available.

Service/program name: Advocacy
Description: Advocates are trained to work on behalf of and with victims in the hospital emergency room, in the police station and in the courtroom. Iroquois Sexual Assault Services maintains a positive relationship with law enforcement and courtroom personnel to ensure that the rights of victims are protected.

Two types of professional advocacy for victims and sexual assault and abuse is offered:

Medical advocacy: trained staff and volunteers provide support and information to victims of sexual assault or sexual abuse and their significant others during the entire emergency room process 24-hours a day, 365 days a year.

Legal Advocacy: trained staff and volunteers walk with the victim throughout the police and courtroom procedures by providing support and information. ISAS Advocates maintain an awareness on the status of each case, monitor the case throughout its legal proceedings and keep the victims current on changes in their case.

Description: Programs are available that provide information on the facts, statistics, and effects of sexual violence, and safety tips for school children, teachers, parents, religious organizations and civic groups.
