Monthly meeting focuses on local STD rates

Representatives from the Kankakee County Health Department will discuss local HIV and Sexually Transmitted Disease (STDs) infection rates and what can be done to reduce rates at the next meeting of the Community Action Builders volunteer organization from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, March 17 at the Kankakee County Administration Building at 189 E. Court Street in Kankakee.

The meeting is free and open to the public. Participants are encouraged to bring friends and a brown bag lunch. Beverages will be provided.

The Community Action Builders (CAB) volunteer organization is sponsored by the Pledge for Life Partnership and works with the KAN-I HELP Information Network to help families find information and resources.
