Medicare Part D Information

Beginning January 1, 2006, Medicare prescription drug coverage will be available to everyone with Medicare, regardless of income, health status or how you pay for prescription drugs today. Insurance companies and other private companies will work with Medicare to offer these Medicare drug plans. Medicare drug plans will provide insurance coverage for brand name and generic prescription drugs. Information can be located on Medicare's website at www.medicare.gov and clicking on "Prescription Drug Plan Finder."

In the Kankakee area, Part D Specialists are available by setting an appointment at Catholic Charities by calling 815.933.7791. The office is located at 200 North Schuyler Avenue in Kankakee.
SHIP(Senior Health Insurance Program) Counselors are available at Provena St. Mary's Senior Care Plus located at Northfield Square Mall by calling 815.937.2222.
The State of Illinois's SHIP office may be contacted at 1.800.548.9034.
Iroquois County residents may contact the Ford-Iroquois Public Health Department at 815.432.2483. The office is located at 114 N. Third Street, Watseka, IL 60970.
