Area applies for additional 21st Learning Center fundin

The Iroquois-Kankakee Regional Office of Education, in partnership with Kankakee School District No.111, Milford Township High School District No. 233 and the Pledge for Life Partnership, is applying to the Illinois State Board of Education for a 21st Century Learning Center grant.
Funding will provide after-school programming for school-aged children at J.F. Kennedy Middle School in Kankakee and Milford High School in Milford. The Regional Office of Education already administers ten 21st Century Learning Center sites at Aroma Park Primary School, Lafayette Primary School, Mark Twain Primary School, Steuben Elementary School, Thomas Edison Primary School, Kankakee Junior High School, Kankakee High School and King Middle School in Kankakee; at St. Anne High School in St. Anne; and at Lorenzo Smith School in Hopkins Park.
