Partnership announces winners of the Second Annual Pledge for Life Coloring Contest

Twenty-one entries were chosen as winners in the Second Annual Pledge for Life Coloring Contest co-sponsored by The Daily Journal and the Pledge for Life Partnership

The pre-event contest was held in conjunction with the Partnership’s 8th Annual Family Fun-a-thon held February 22 at Olivet Nazarene University.

Judges for the contest included local artist Jan Boelte of Clifton, Mary Zopf, Newspapers in Education coordinator for The Daily Journal, Carl Bracken, owner of Copier Dynamics in Bradley, Jan Glazer, owner of Art Start Studio in Bourbonnais and Brent McTaggart of Watseka..

Winners include:
Preschool - Kindergarten: 1st place – Jade Sayson of Bourbonnais; 2nd place – Korbyn (last name unknown) of Gilman; and 3rd place – Sydney Ferris of Bourbonnais.

First – Third Grade: 1st place – Vanessa VanDuyne of Braidwood; 2nd place – Rachel Peters of Beecher; and 3rd place – Zachary Goodrich of Kankakee.

Fourth – Sixth Grade: 1st place – Hannah Bevis of Bourbonnais; 2nd place – Stephen Grosso of Bourbonnais; and 3rd place – Justin Hill of Bradley.

Seventh – Eighth Grade: 1st place – Alicia Behrends of Danforth.
Family Category: 1st place – Samuel, Henry and Katie Pleckham of Herscher; Second place – the O’Connor Family of Bourbonnais; and 3rd place – the Regnier Family of Dwight.
